Station Eleven by Emily St. John Mandel is post-apocalyptic story that takes place after a worldwide flu epidemic that wipes out a majority of the population. One of the main characters is an artist that is working a comic book, which inspired me to make an illustrated cover, and the gas station was both a play on the title but it’s also a meeting point for the characters in the story.
